PAST INFORMATION
Tryouts start Saturday, February 27th. Here is the schedule for the entire tryout:
Our criteria for selecting the team in no particular order:
1) Attitude/ Character
2) Respect
3) Competitive Fire
4) Self-Discipline
5) Technical Skill
6) Fitness (Speed, Agility, & Endurance)
On Saturday, tryouts will begin on the track at Marriotts Ridge. All interested players should meet at the track, in running shoes, no later than 8:45 am. Once we complete our first fitness test, we will change into cleats and head to our practice field.
All girls are expected to bring the following required equipment with them to each tryout session:
Ø cleats
Ø running shoes
Ø goggles ( approved)
Ø lacrosse stick
Ø mouthguard
Ø water (Individual Bottle/Cooler)
In addition to these items, any girl intending to try out for goalkeeper needs to bring her own equipment with her or see me prior to tryouts.
If you have an inhaler, it must be registered with the nurse. Please have it with you ready to show so we know where it is in the even t it's needed.
To participate in tryouts, all athletes must have turned in the following required paperwork prior to February 28th. Please turn in the following forms to Coach Brady in room 236 during break or after school the two weeks prior to tryouts:
Ø HCPSS Physical Examination Form (dated April 1, 2013 or later)
Ø HCPSS Athletic Participation Form
Ø HCPSS Concussion Information Sheet
Ø HCPSS Sports Concussion Testing Release
Ø Copy of Utility Bill
Ø Copy of Birth Certificate (9th grade only)
Ø Copy of 4th Quarter Report Card (10-12th grade only)
Athletes should turn their forms into me personally. Students missing any of the required items will not be able to participate in tryouts until I have personally received all of their required paperwork.
